Beautiful Saint Bernards Need New Home

UPDATE 7/21/2008 – Eva & Olivia now have a new home!

One of my friends and close associate at Explore Consulting recently lost her Mother-in-law who left behind four (4) beloved Saint Bernards.  She is trying to find homes for two female Saint Bernards, Eva & Olivia.  In her own words…

“Eva, 3 years old, smaller long haired saint (97# at last appt) so sweet, looks like she is smiling all of the time.  Great with other dogs, loves kids, has not had any contact with cats, so not sure there.   She is full of life, playful, but doesn’t seem to be bratty (chewing etc).  She does not seem to be slobbery really at all.  I can’t figure that one out, but it is quite nice!  All I can say about her is she really would be great for a family, she is so sweet and well behaved, except for the occasional peek on the kitchen counter (see picture).

Olivia (right), 4 years old, standard size long haired saint (127# at last appt).  She is great with the other dogs. She enjoys lounging in the backyard.  She is such a lover.  She is such a great girl and would also be awesome for a family or even a single person.  Again, not sure about cats with her, but if I had to guess, I would think she would be fine.  We are told she has perfect markings for a saint.

Both of the girls are healthy, up-to-date on vaccines and we have their vet records.

We have been talking to St Bernard Rescue daily, but so far they do not seem to have any plan for them.  You all know how much I love animals, especially large dogs and I really want to see them go to a loving home.  Kathy loved these dogs dearly and if we didn’t already have 400lbs of large dog in our house, we would keep both girls.

We have contacted local no-kill shelters, but they said they do not take Saints because of their size.

If you have any questions and would like to get in touch, please leave a comment on this post with your email address and I’ll get you in touch.  Pass it along to anybody you think may be interested in a great new family dog…or was a fan of the movie Beethoven!”
